Sometimes names of contributors to a release, recording or work need to be translated or transliterated. Example include names of composers, for example: Sergei Rachmaninoff (English), Serguéi Rajmáninov (Spanish) or Сергей Рахманинов (Russian, his mother tongue).

This can be communicated, in ERN for example as

<PartyName LanguageAndScriptCode="en">
	<FullName>Sergei Rachmaninoff </FullName>
</PartyName>

<PartyName LanguageAndScriptCode="es">
	<FullName>Serguéi Rajmáninova</FullName>
</PartyName>

<PartyName LanguageAndScriptCode="ru"IsInOriginalLanguage ="true">
	<FullName>Серге́й Рахма́нинов</FullName>
</PartyName>

In some cases it may be important or helpful to know which of these names is the “original”, i.e. the version that is not translated or transliterated.

ERN 4.3 introduces a flag IsInOriginalLanguage that allows signalling which of these tags contains the “original” name:

<PartyName LanguageAndScriptCode="ru"IsInOriginalLanguage ="true">
	<FullName>Сергей Рахманинов</FullName>
</PartyName>
