What is the aim of Profile for Financial Reporting to Record Companies?

The aim of the Profile for Financial Reporting to Record Companies is to enable DSPs to repost usage and or revenue figures to record companies.

How is a report structured?

Usage and/or revenues are reported in a Single-Record Block Variant (SRBV) where sales and/or usage information is communicated using the following way:

  • A header that contains general information such as information about the sender and receiver. The header is common to all SRBV DSR formats.
  • A number of summary records.
  • A set of records which make up the body of the report and which enable DSPs to report usages. These records may be augmented by none, one or multiple deal-specific records for which sender and recipients are required to agree syntax and semantics on a bilateral basis.
  • A footer that contains information about the sales/usage report such as the number of records that are included. The header is common to all SRBV DSR formats.
