DDEX for authors’ rights societies

  • I receive data from a DSP about the sales and usage of the releases and resources that are available on the DSP’s service and the musical works contained in those releases and resources.

  • I send data to a DSP about rights claims in respect of musical works I own or administer that are available on the DSP’s service and I receive data from a DSP about any discrepancies in that data.

  • I receive data about sound recordings and music videos from a record company or DSP and send back data about musical works and associated rights claims in order to grant licences to use the musical works in those sound recordings and music videos.

  • I send rich but non-core data to a metadata company or DSP about the composers and all other contributors to the musical works I own or administer and non-core data about those musical works.

  • I receive data relating to a recording session about contributors including their roles, creations such as musical works or recording components, instrumentation and equipment captured in the studio during that recording session.

  • I receive data from an organisation with a musical works and recordings database, such as The Mechanical Licensing Collective, about musical works, sound recordings or music videos that make use of such musical works as well as musical work claim information.
