Party Identification and Enrichment (PIE)
Party Identification and Enrichment (PIE) enables the communication of rich information about Parties. It therefore offers similar functionality to MEAD. However, whilst PIE focuses on Parties, MEAD focuses on the communication of information about the content of digital music services, such as releases, resources and musical works.
The text of the PIE standard can be found here.
Remember, at least before going live with an implementation, you will need to take out a DDEX Implementation Licence. Information about the Implementation Licence can be found here and the application form is available here.
General explanation of PIE
This section provides an explanation of the purpose and structure of PIE. This section also discusses that PIE is a modular standard and implementers can gain significant benefits from implementing a (small) subset of the PIE features. PIE offers benefit just with a few tags.
Detailed implementation guidance and best practices
This section provides access to a large range of articles under different subject headings, about all aspects of PIE. This section of the knowledge base is searchable.
