Territorial scope of a deal

DDEX messages contain data that can vary between different territories. The band "Suede" is, for instance called "The London Suede" in the US. More critically for many applications is that music ownership may be different between different territories. All of this information is provided in the ReleaseList, ResourceList, WorkList and, where available, PartyList sections of the DDEX messages.

It is also quite common that the terms and conditions under which a Release may be made available differs from territory to territory. This information is provided, in the NewReleaseMessage in the DealList section. It is the data in this Deal section that is the only source for information pertaining to the commercial relationship between the message sender and message recipient.

The information contained in thReleaseListResourceListWorkList and PartyList sections is solely data describing the various elements of the Release.
