The Simple Music NFT standard explained

A record company that wants to release a sound recording in a Music NFT takes on the role of an NFT Issuer. The NFT Issuer would work with an NFT Minting Service which would create the Music NFT in accordance with the NFT Issuer’s instructions.

The NFT Minting Service fulfils a key role in determining that all rights controllers in the Music NFT are, directly or indirectly, able to benefit from any transactions relating to the exploitation of the Music NFT, both now and in the future. However, there are different set-ups that can be deployed to achieve this. In one set-up the NFT Minting Service, may determine that some or all of the metadata describing the Music NFT may be immutable. Alternatively, they may determine that some metadata describing the Music NFT may not be immutable.

With regard to payments for transactions relating to the Music NFT, the NFT Minting Service, may, for example, determine that payment for the Music NFT be immediately settled by transferring cryptocurrency funds to wallets identified during the minting process (or not).
