MRBV vs SRBV

Some DSR Profiles come in two variants: a Multi-Record Block Variant (MRBV) where the detailed sales and usage information is provided in multiple Records (e.g. one Record for the transacted release, one Record for each of the sound recordings and musical works that make up the release, and a number of records containing the actual sales/usage figures) and a Single-Record Block Variant (SRBV) where all the above information is provided in one (long) Record.

The default format is the Multi-Record Block Variant. 

However, in some instances it may be more efficient to communicate reporting sales and/or usage information using the Single-Record Block Variant. The SRBV should only be used if bilaterally agreed.
