Part 9: Financial Reporting to Record Companies profile
The purpose of the Financial Reporting to Record Companies profile is to enable licensees to report sales/usage information to record companies. The Financial Reporting to Record Companies profile is only available as an SRBV. The current Part 9 is in version 1.1, the text of which is available here.
What business models does it cover?
The Financial Reporting to Record Companies profile covers all business models where releases and resources are part of the service.
How is a report structured?
This format has the following structure:
A header that contains general information such as the names of the sender and recipient of the message. The header is the same for all DSR profiles in both the MRBV and SRBV configurations;
A set of summary records;
A set of records containing release, resource and the sales/usage information related to them. These records may be augmented by none, one or multiple deal-specific records for which the licensee and licensor are required to agree syntax and semantics on a bilateral basis; and
A footer that contains check data about the individual report such as the number of records that are included. The footer is the same for all SRBV DSR profiles.
