MusicalWorkClusterRequest

The MusicalWorkClusterRequest message enables a business partner to explicitly request a cluster and receive a MusicalWorkClusterNotification in response. This message is optional since the initiation of a dialogue between two parties can also occur by sending a MusicalWorkClusterNotificaiton (see here).

A cluster may be requested by:

  • Providing a musical work identifier (e.g., an ISWC); or

  • In the absence of an ISWC, providing a Title and at least one Writer

A cluster may also be requested by supplying a Resource identifier, clearly indicating that the resulting notification must include:

The specified resource;

The identified musical work as the ClusterRoot; and

All other ClusterMembers associated with the same relevant ClusterRoot.
